Kulima interprets range of seasonal forecasts for RIACSO as part of CSIR-Kulima-UCT project

At the RIACSO meeting on Thursday 8th September in Sunninghill, Kulima provided a debriefing session on SARCOF-15, and presented the consensus-based forecast produced, together with other available seasonal forecasts, to humanitarian actors to support their pre-season preparedness.  At the meeting a working group was established in order to define the humanitarian implications of the seasonal outlook, and to draft regional scenarios.  This working group includes UN OCHA, FAO, FEWSNET, IFRC, Oxfam, UN Women, UNAIDS and UNICEF, and is chaired by Kulima.
