South African Department of Environmental Affairs launches National Climate Change Response White Paper

The South African Department of Environmental Affairs has launched the National Climate Change Response White Paper.  The White Paper emerges out of a substantial period of development, which began in 2005 with the Midrand Plan of Action on the 2004 Climate Change Response Strategy.  Subsequent stakeholder engagement has included the National Climate Change Summit in 2009, and the resulting Green Paper.
